About
Swine Flu is an acute and highly contagious respiratory disease of swine (pigs) that’s caused by the orthomyxovirus. It is thought to be the same virus that caused the 1918 influenza pandemic. There are many types of Swine flu, and the infection is constantly changing. Typically, Swine Flu has not infected humans, however the latest form that has surfaced in 2009 clearly does, and can be spread from person to person – most likely through coughing and sneezing.
The 2009 Swine Flu outbreak appears to have caused fatalities in humans in Mexico and there been some non-fatal cases in the United States (as at April 27, 2009). SwineFluHeadlines.Com provides updated Swine Flu news, headlines, updates and more.
